Yes! Zenni now offers Anti-fog + Anti-reflective Coating. Read below to learn more!
What is Anti-Fog Coating?
Fight fog & glare with our special 2-in-1 anti-fog lens coating, with included activator cloth.
Zenni’s anti-fog + anti-reflective coating reduces glare and helps prevent your lenses from fogging up. The anti-fog coating is on both sides of the lenses. Each pair of anti-fog coated lenses comes with a special anti-fog activator lens cloth that activates the anti-fog properties every time you clean your lenses to help keep them extra clear.
What is the difference between Anti-Fog Coating and Pre-Moistened Anti-Fog Lens Wipes?
Anti-fog coating is a permanent lens coating and is the recommended choice for your new glasses. Pre-Moistened Anti-Fog lens wipes are a great option for existing glasses or lenses that are not currently available with anti-fog coating.
Who can benefit from anti-fog lens coating?
Glasses fog up when you move from hot to cold environments, wear a mask, face-shield or helmet and engage in outdoor activities or chores such as cooking.
Anyone who experiences foggy lenses can benefit from adding Anti-Fog coating to their glasses order.
How does the anti-fog lens coating and activator cloth work?
Zenni’s anti-fog coating works to prevent your lenses from fogging up by the application of a hydrophilic coating on the lens. Hydrophilic coatings manipulate the molecular structure of water. That is, it changes bubbles (fog) into a thin film of water.
When water droplets (fog) form on a surface with a hydrophilic anti-fog coating, it will reduce the surface tension of water. As a result, water droplets or bubbles will spread into a thin transparent film.
The activator cloth deposits additional hydrophilic molecules on the lenses boosting the anti-fog properties to further help reduce the surface tension of water.
Both the lens coating and the special activator cloth help provide anti-fog properties, and work best when used together. For optimal anti-fogging effects, wipe your lenses with the activator cloth before every use.
How effective is anti-fog coating at eliminating fog?
The degree to which fog is reduced depends on many factors and may not be completely eliminated in all circumstances, but when used as directed (with the activator cloth) the anti-fog coating will reduce fog to a large degree compared to typical lens coatings.
In some cases, the environmental conditions or the way masks are worn with glasses may cause excessive fog (or water droplets). Even though the coating does its job spreading the water into a thin film, the sheer volume of water on the lenses may still make it difficult to see.
Try adjusting your mask and glasses. Remember to use your regular optical lens cloth to wipe away the water before re-wiping with your activator cloth.
Clean your lenses with a mild dish soap and water after several uses to increase effectiveness of the activator cloth.
Does the anti-fog coating work without the Activator Cloth?
Yes, the coating does assist in preventing foggy lenses. However, the combination of the coating + the activator cloth delivers the best, longest-lasting results.
What lenses are available with anti-fog coating?
Anti-fog coating can be applied to most lenses with the following exceptions:
Single Vision High Index 1.74, Single Vision Blokz® Photochromic 1.61, Single Vision Blokz® Photochromic 1.67, Single Vision Blokz® Trivex® and Mirror Finishes.

How do I care for anti-fog coated lenses and the activator cloth?
Clean your lenses with tap water or an optical lens spray or wipes and dry with a regular optical lens cloth.
Gently wipe your lenses on both sides 5-10 times with the activator cloth; repeat every 24 hours, or as needed.

DO NOT wash your activator cloth - keep it dry.
